Dear Voter,
I am running because our neighborhoods, residents and local businesses should have a greater voice at city hall. We need experienced leaders who will put our residents and businesses first.
Experience counts in this election. My experience as a business leader, planning commissioner, public works commissioner and community volunteer, make me the best choice for City Council.
I will work to stabilize the budget, solve budget issues creatively, stand up for small business and promote sustainability of city resources. Our city’s energy savings and sustainability programs are a major part of budget solutions. I will work to fully fund infrastructure repairs to roads, sewers and sidewalks.
In these tough times, it’s critical that we protect our most vulnerable citizens. I will work to avoid cuts to Senior Center programs and continue our senior lunch and Meals on Wheels programs.
Our wide beaches, beautiful parks and wetlands are the best things about Huntington Beach. Clean air, water and abundant open space create a quality of life that naturally spurs economic development.
Together, we can build a better Huntington Beach. Vote for Joe Shaw and add an experienced voice for our city’s residents and businesses to the City Council.
